  • In NYS, a referral is not required for the first 10 Visits or 30 days of treatment.
  • If you would like to submit to your health insurance, it is usually best to have this first, however, it is not necessary.
  • The easiest way to make an appointment is to click here. This will bring you to our online portal where you will register for an account by filling out your name, birthday and email address. You’ll also create a password and you are in! From there, you choose your desired service and an opening in my schedule that works for you.
  • If you have any concerns before scheduling an appointment, I encourage you to give us a call and we will get back to you as soon as we are finished giving our full attention to our current clients.
  • Yes, however to provide the highest quality patient-centered care, Mindful Movement Physical Therapy is an out-of-network, cash-based provider. This means there will be a few simple steps on your end. In the portal, a receipt will be available from your visit(s) with all of the information required by your insurance company. This can be saved to your phone or computer and uploaded to your insurance provider’s portal. After a review process, your claim will be reimbursed according to your plan.
  • I love meeting new people! You can expect us to have a conversation. I want to hear what brought you in, what you have been experiencing, and what you think the cause is. I want to know your history of health, exercise, sports and injuries. I’d also like to hear what keeps you busy during the day, about your work, your life etc. If we are going to be successful at getting you back to your best, we must take these things into consideration.
  • From there we are going to dive into a full-body screening to see if there are any big picture things that need to be cleaned up before getting too detailed.
  • Next, an in-depth examination of the reason you came in. We won’t just check that area. We will evaluate how all of the areas around it are impacted, too. There are so many things that can be done around it to get you moving forward if the main region still needs time to heal.
  • Once we know what’s truly going on, we will start working on making you feel better using manual therapy techniques. This will get you feeling and moving a little better from day one, while establishing a plan that works for you and life’s busy demands.
  • Once you are moving and feeling a little better, we will review a few stretches and exercises that will help you stay loose, strong and feeling good.
  • We will save a few minutes for any questions you may have. Don’t worry, you are not alone until your next session. You can text us through the portal and we will answer any questions or concerns ASAP.
  • This process can vary widely based on the injury or problem you may be dealing with and can vary from person to person. My goal is to help you allow and maximize your body’s ability to heal. I will teach you about the phase of healing you are in and what is best to continue progressing and best to stay away from at the time.
  • Ideally, we catch the problem before it is causing you pain. However, if you are already in pain, YES! There are techniques we have to help reduce your symptoms and get you started in your return to performance process.
We understand things come up, however, to protect the time of our therapist and the needs of other patients, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. All appointments canceled prior to 24 hours before the appointment time will have no fee. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $75 fee. If the patient fails to show for their appointment without canceling, they will be charged the full cost of the scheduled appointment time.
